Fun Friday - Time To Celebrate Mother's Day Weekend!

If you haven't noticed, I love Fridays.  I'm a firm believer Fridays are all about having Fun.  And today, I want to convince everyone we need to change celebrating Mother's "Day" to Mother's Day "Weekend".

Mother's care more for their children than they do for themselves, they nurture, protect, teach, love and so much more.  Simply stated they are key players in making life enjoyable, making the world a better place, and sharing kindness. And they do it 7/24/365 every year that they are a mother.   How would you describe it?

And, we can learn so much from our mother, as well as other mother's, even mothers in nature.  Yes, mother's in nature are also amazing.  While my mother is no longer alive, I think fondly of her every day and will be thinking of her love of animals this weekend, as this love also is one of her loves that passed on to me.  Growing up, it was always a toss up as to who brought home more stray animals, my mother, or the kids?  We grew up knowing if we ever found an animal in need of love, we could bring them to our home.  Actually, the same was said for our human friends who often found my mother had room in her heart to nurture and love more.  So, I've concluded you can always look around and find your own adopted mother to nurture and love you.  They may turn out to be a special woman who isn't even related,  or a special pet.  Yes, even pets can help to nurture and love you.  You can also look into the wild part of nature and observe how they nurture and love.

They are always proud of you.

They nurture you.

They teach you loads of life lessons.

They make life fun.

But if you don't have such a mother, never forget you can adopt a mother.  Even a good pet with motherly instincts can nurture you, give you unconditional love.

Hugs always warm the heart.

And, it is fun to enjoy a yummy meal with your mother, or adopted mother.

Take a simple walk with your mother, or adopted mother and enjoy the day.

I hope you can see why all of us need to Celebrate Mother's Day Weekend.  There are a lot of traditional mothers and non-traditional mothers who do an amazing job caring for their children, as well as adoptive children, even animals who help to mother and nurture other species.  The more we can increase the awareness the happier we will be.  No one should ever feel motherless, or lacking the nurturing, love and kindness of a mother.  We simply need to look for ways to spread this skill and grow it more of us.

What special skill, or memory did your mother (or adopted mother) share with you?

My mother taught me you don't need money to be happy.  You can always find joy when you see flowers and we all need to smile more!

I hope you share plenty of smiles and hugs this weekend!

Cute photos. No special skills (mom doesn't even cook) but I was loved, and that is the most important thing.

I hope you had a lovely Mother's Day weekend!! I love the photos you found for this post! Thinking about it, the essence of who I am and what I do comes from my mother - so I guess she taught me lots!
